Glendalough
This Glendalough was made from 90% maize and 10% barley. Initially matured in American oak barrels, the single grain was then given a 12-month finish in XO Calvados barrels. In this context, the designation XO 'Extra Old' stands for at least 6 years of maturation, which the apple brandy spent in oak barrels before the Glendalough whiskey was refined in them. This gave the whiskey soft honey notes with vanilla and facets of green fruit. The single cask was bottled at 42% vol. without chill-filtering.
Glendronach
Without the unencumbered, free-fettled and frankly at times, zany pursuant of the independent spirit within the drinks industry little would have changed. We may all be drinking one of just a few beers, probably a gin or two, a handful of blended Scotch's and our local haunt would have a red and just possibly a white wine too.
The Glendronach Ode To The Dark is a Single Malt matured in special Pedro Ximénez sherry casks and bottled at an increased alcohol content of 50.8% vol. The whisky is the most intense of Gelndronach's The Master's Anthology series, in which Master Blend Rachel Barrie and her team exclusively present sherry cask matured Single Malts. The Ode To The Dark not only impresses with its intensity but also with fine flavours of sweet spice and mocha.
Millstone Special No. 31
This peated malt whisky has a beautiful color of old gold,and a rich and luscious flavour profile that far exceeds its relative youthfulness. The whisky expresses those typical notes that you would expect from a relatively youthful peated whisky with a full maturation in very rare old Palo cortade casks. The first impression is rich. When you give the whisky a little time in your glass and the whisky shines with its warm and complex character. The unique qualities of this whisky come from the use of a crystal-clear wort that is slowly fermented for 7 days and the slow distillation method with the relatively early cut point. After distillation the whisky had a full maturation in vere rare old palo cortado casks that give the whisky its beautiful color and adds to the rich complex flavour.
Talisker The Wild Blue
voegt een nieuwe dimensie toe aan het maritieme karakter waar de whisky van deze distilleerderij bekend om staat. The Wild Blue combineert rook, kruiden en ziltige invloeden met rijke hints van fruit. Dit is de allereerste Talisker whisky die in ex-rode wijnvaten uit Zuid-Afrika is gefinisht. The Wild Blue van Talisker is gebotteld op 48,2% alcohol. Deze fles is het resultaat van een samenwerking met de Marine Blue Foundation, een partij die zich inzet voor onder andere het herstellen van kustgebieden.
Mac Talla Flora
Een Islay single malt Scotch van Mac-Talla die tot doel heeft de essentie van de wilde bloemenweiden en de kustlucht van het eiland te combineren. 70% van de whisky werd gerijpt in een combinatie van PX- en oloroso-sherryvaten, wat rijk fruit en kruiden aan de zacht geturfde mout bracht, terwijl de resterende 30% in bourbonvaten bleef, wat voor balans zorgde met tonen van bloemige vanille.
Black Bull 18 years
Black Bull 18 Years is een krachtige en complexe blended whisky met 50% malt en 50% grain, minimaal 18 jaar gerijpt. Rijk van smaak met tonen van chocolade, kruiden en eikenhout. Gebotteld op 50% vol en non-chill filtered. Bestel nu bij De Drankenmarkt in Roermond.
